Mohan Reddy is acknowledged to have pioneered the CAD/CAM culture in India by introducing computer systems for design and manufacturing applications as far back as 1982. In the past 10 years, through Infotech Enterprises, he established the 'Engineered in India' brand by providing design engineering services to reputed global companies that include names like Boeing, Airbus, Pratt & Whitney, Bombardier, Philips, Siemens and Westinghouse.
Mr. Reddy was associated with prestigious companies in India for over two decades before establishing Infotech Enterprises in 1991.
Today, Infotech Enterprises is a global engineering services company with revenue of USD 324 million and a compound annual growth rate of 22% for the last five years. The company currently employs over 9,300 associates worldwide.
Mr. Reddy has been a member of the NASSCOM Executive Council since 2003, and has also served as the Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Southern Region, from 2008-09. He is associated with councils of various academic and industry forums and has led several initiatives for the benefit of the industry.
In March 2007, Mr. Reddy was conferred an honorary doctorate by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India. He has been conferred several awards including the recent “Distinguished Alumnus Award” by IIT, Kanpur. Reddy was recently honored with the prestigious ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Leadership Award for outstanding leadership in advancing the use of computers in information engineering.
Mr. Reddy is passionate about the company’s social responsibilities and has established the Infotech Enterprises Charitable Trust (IECT). The company contributes 0.5% of its profit for social initiatives. So far, IECT has adopted 10 government primary schools and provides financial, infrastructure and social support to over 5,000 underprivileged children.
A strong proponent of inclusive development, Mr. Reddy undertook several initiatives that support empowerment and employment opportunities for women in smaller cities.
Mr. Reddy holds a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Kakinada (1971) and postgraduate degrees from IIT, Kanpur, India (1973) and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA (1977).
