it has
become
necessary
to find
a
replacement
to
discontinued
components.
Products
designed
around
4/8 bit
controllers
need a
replacement
with
either
new 8
bit /16
bit
processors
and also
cater
for
additional
features.
The new
chipset
must be
consuming
less
power,
have
more
features,
not to
be
discontinued
in near
future,
have
easy
replacement
and at a
comparable
cost.
The new
PC
boards
thus
designed
need to
be in
the same
form
factor
as
original
boards
for
seamless
replaceability.
