To Design new H/W boards
as per specifications
and the necessary
firmware, EDS has
successfully developed
many such projects. The
hardware boards thus
developed will form a
subset of a larger
system. The H/W design
consists of
analog/digital processor
based cards upto 6U in
size. The necessary
firmware is also
developed along with the
H/W Design. Typically
this area includes
development of device
drivers, porting into
Embedded Linux etc.
Projects Executed
The XTC 340 series
Transmitter-Controllers
are pressure sensors
used for differential,
gauge, absolute, and
flanged level
differential pressure
measurement and control.
They are used for
variety of controls and
automation functions.
They have an integral
PID controller that
delivers process sensing
and control capabilities
in a single instrument,
thereby eliminating the
need for a separate
controller to handle
basic PD loops. Remote
options via a number of
HARTŪ devices and
control systems ensure
maximum flexibility. The
current project involves
redesign of the product
which includes both
hardware and firmware
development. As the old
Motorola processor
(68HC11E20) is no longer
manufactured, a new
design based on a latest
state of the art micro
controller has to be
developed.
