Valves & Actuators

Infotech's design team has acquired the art of designing the basic actuator required for Aircraft Hydraulic system. The team has the expertise in making the 3-D modeling of actuator body. The team has also developed capability of designing different types of valves including solenoid operated valves.

Actuators & Valves Analysis

Infotech analysis team has developed capability in understanding the functionality & design aspects of valves and actuator assemblies which enabled analysis team to perform successfully design validation of complete assembly for any given operating or environmental conditions. The team is also capable of providing alternate solutions to optimize the design and developing standard work.

The objective of Actuators analysis is to determine the induced stress under the three stages of operation, fully retracted, mid extended and fully extended for fatigue, proof and ultimate load cases.

The objective of Valve analysis is to determine the induced stress under the random vibration environment, with and without internal pressure at Maximum temperature, in order to achieve the required fatigue life whilst minimizing the component weight.

Infotech has successfully performed analysis to validate Actuators & Valves for several leading aerospace leaders.

Actuators & Valves analyzed are:

  RAM door actuator

  CAC FOD actuator

  AVS inlet door actuator

  Liquid valve

  Shut off valve

  NGS system -ram control valve

  Flow control valve

  Main Rotor Actuator

  Tail Rotor Actuator

Air Conditioning System For Aircrafts

Air conditioning includes heating, cooling, ventilation, moisture/contaminant control, temperature control, distribution, and cabin pressure control. Common systems are the air conditioning system (ACS) and the cabin pressure control system (CPCS).

Air cycle refrigeration is the predominant means of air conditioning for commercial and military aircraft of all types. The aircraft air cycle air conditioning system utilizes the high-pressure air extracted from the gas turbine engine compressor to satisfy the aircraft ventilation, heating, cooling and pressurization requirements. A water separator removes moisture condensed during the refrigeration process. The refrigerated air is then delivered to the aircraft compartments to cool, pressurize and ventilate these areas with fresh air.

Fuel Pumps

The electronic control system group of Infotech provides world class solutions to engine manufacturers in the areas of fuel pumps and fuel metering units.

Infotech has worked both on new design and Legacy conversion. The team converts all the 2D drawings to 3D models and builds a whole assembly of the fuel Metering unit. The group is also responsible for building the fuel lines in & out of the fuel metering unit. The group has specialized tools that place these plumbing lines in the shortest possible distance and also maintains a minimum wall thickness around them, since these plumbing lines carry fuel at given temperature and pressure, every bore is validated thru stress analysis to ensure a minimum wall is maintained to take up the fuel flow. The group is also responsible in creating the manufacturing drawings from an individual part level to the whole assembly

Composites And Material Engineering

The materials and composites team at Infotech is working and delivering world class solutions in the areas of Materials Modeling, Fatigue Loading Sequence of Composite Material, Fracture Surface Analysis of Composite Material and Modeling of Fatigue Crack Propagation in Composites.
