Dave Carter is vice president, Engineering & Technology for Hamilton Sundstrand, responsible for leading Hamilton Sundstrand’s worldwide engineering organization.
Dave was Pratt & Whitney’s vice president, Engineering – Module Centers, where he had served for three years till January 2009. He was responsible for the Module Center engineering function, as well as driving key organizational engineering initiatives such as outsourcing, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), ACE and managing engineering support functions.
Previously, Dave was general manager, Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC), where he led both the engineering and manufacturing activities with a focus on performance improvements in quality, cost reduction and delivery. During his more than 20 years of experience at Pratt & Whitney he held various positions of increasing responsibility for Engine Programs of many new generation engines, and engineering director for the Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC).
Dave received bachelors and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia.
