M.M. Murugappan, an Independent Director of Infotech, is a Director of Carborundum Universal Ltd. (Ceramics manufacturers for industrial applications,) and has been a member of the Group Supervisory Board for Technology and Research, Murugappa Group since 1999.

He held various portfolios in the Murugappa Group between 1985 and 1991, including responsibility for the Electronics Division, Strategy & Business Development, Consolidation of Acquisitions, Operations and later Divestment. Thereafter, from 1992-1999, he served as a Director in Parry's Confectionery Ltd., manufacturers of sugar confectionery.
